Biography

Rana Daniel is the co-owner of Mindful Roots, a venture she has been part of since its inception. As a board-certified OB/GYN, Rana’s journey in the medical field spans nearly two decades. Her connection with Maine blossomed during her time in Medical School, and after fulfilling military and residency commitments, she and her family decided to return to the state they fell in love with.

In her role as a co-owner at Mindful Roots, Rana identified a need for a space where individuals could openly discuss and seek treatment for concerns that go beyond routine medical visits. Driven by a passion for providing non-invasive and comfortable solutions, she envisioned a welcoming environment for addressing topics often deemed uncomfortable.

Rana’s commitment to her profession is evident in the satisfaction she derives from witnessing positive outcomes at Mindful Roots. Seeing individuals achieve results without resorting to surgery or silently enduring their ailments reaffirms her belief that she is in the right professional space.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Rana is a devoted parent to three young children and holds a teaching position at Maine Medical Center. Additionally, she is trained in coaching and weight loss, reflecting her dedication to holistic well-being. Rana’s interests extend to traveling, nurturing the growth of empathetic individuals, and contributing to others’ well-being by promoting body positivity.

Who is Rana Daniel?

I am a board-certified OB/Gyn, mom of 3 young children, and entrepreneur. Aside from Mindful Roots, I still practice and a physician locally and have a great weight loss coaching business that focuses on working mothers. I have lost over 100lbs and love to share my knowledge.

I feel strongly that we need to do what we can to feel empowered, strong, and confident. We need to stop the self-judgment and self-sabotage.

People often tell me that I am easy to talk to, make them feel comfortable, and make them feel like they are not judged for their feelings or desires. I am compassionate and loving to all, and treat others the way I want to be treated. I do everything I can out of love and patience.
I work hard in all my jobs and often put myself last. Through my coaching and growth lately, I have learned that I need to put myself first and am working on self-care, self-preservation, and growth. Because of my perfectionist qualities, I have always put my career first, and am learning to take care of myself and my family while still giving the time to my businesses.

I am finding a balance in life and I am happy to share this with you in any aspect.
